KwikFlight has released the Hunter, a twin-seat attack helicopter inspired by the real-life AH-64 Apache and developed for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The Hunter is intended to be approachable for all users, while still offering simulated systems based on real-world counterparts. Systems including electrical, fuel, and engine management, as well as avionics and autopilot logic, have been developed in-house. A major component of the project is the combat system, which includes a configurable mission scenario tool, multiple weapon modes, and real-time damage modelling. You can see it in action above.

Three weapons systems are implemented, those being a cannon based off the real-life M230 chain gun with burst and fully automatic fire options, Hydra rockets, and Hellfire missiles. These are controlled via cockpit interfaces and a custom Integrated Helmet and Display Sight System that tracks the user’s head position. All combat functionality, including armament and damage logic, is handled by custom code.
You can buy the KwikFlight Hunter right now from the iniBuilds store for £19.99 (plus tax).
