Livery and scenery developer KiwiFlightSim has released Hokitika Airport for MSFS. This is the developer’s first payware scenery for the simulator.
Hokitika Airport (NZHK/HKK) is an uncontrolled aerodrome located on New Zealand’s South Island. The airport features two runways, a single passenger terminal, and two gates. Currently, the only airline offering passenger service to Hokitika is Air New Zealand on an ATR 72 to Christchurch, New Zealand. For thrill seekers, Precision Helicopters, known for their spectacular sightseeing flights over the nearby glaciers and mountains, is also based at Hokitika Airport.
Despite its small size, KiwiFlightSim has put a considerable amount of detail into the Hokitika Airport scenery to bring this rugged airport to life. For instance, both the interior and exterior of the terminal feature 3D modeling and texturing, the surrounding areas are enhanced with high-resolution imagery, and custom ground service equipment and surrounding buildings were included to enhance realism. Finally, the aprons feature hand-crafted markings to ensure whether you’re parking a turboprop or helicopter, you’ll know exactly where to park.
You can now purchase KiwiFlightSim’s Hokitika Airport scenery from Flightsim.to for $9.99.
