Scenery developer JustSim has released a new scenery for X-Plane 12. Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (IATA: NCE, ICAO: LFMN) in the South of France is now available. This scenery is the newest in the “NG” series product line. The airport is positioned right on the waters of the Mediterranean, in an area that is known as the French Riviera. It is close to both the city of Nice and the Municipality of Monaco.

The airport sees quite a lot of passenger traffic, being the third-busiest in France. It is positioned in an interesting geographical location, between both the outskirts of the French Alps in the north and the sea in the south. This results in interesting approaches to the airfield’s two parallel runways that can be both beautiful and tricky. It offers a multitude of ILS, RNP and VOR approache types, often resulting in a final visual maneuver low over the sea to align with the runways.

This rendition by JustSim aims to take advantage of the X-Plane 12 features, such as its weather effects, PBR materials, lights and 3D vegetation. This means you can count on seeing palm trees when arriving at or departing from this sunny vacation destination. The scenery features all terminal and airport buildings with reflection effects on windows and glass surfaces. It also has support for the Autogate plugin. With manual object placing and high-resolution textures of both the ground and runway it should altogether provide you with a detailed scenery package for your next flight into Nice.
