JustFlight released a short minute and a half video on Facebook addressing various questions surrounding Traffic Global for X-Plane 11. Traffic Global is still in development and aims to add high quality AI models in accurate airline liveries to the skies of X-Plane 11.
Many have asked JustFlight if the installation is simple. The installation consists of an executable that is simply run, there is no more setup or configuration. Once the installer is finished, the user can load into X-Plane and have global traffic. Another common question is, “Will it kill the FPS?” Shown in the video is an MD80 on the ground at London Gatwick with zero AI traffic, the FPS remained locked at 20. After AI traffic was successfully loaded back into X-Plane, the FPS remained locked at 20. The final question answered was, “Is it going to increase my load times?” A side by side startup screen of X-Plane 11 was shown, the one without traffic loaded in 2:31 and the one with traffic loaded in 2:43, a 13 second difference.
Traffic Global consists of 65 aircraft types with over 860 liveries from across the globe. More than 600,000 flights, covering over 3,000 airport are included. The included flights contain complex multi-point routes that are different every day of the week. You can read more about Traffic Global in our previous post. No release date was given yet.
