Just Flight Shares New Update on F70/F100

Just Flight has recently shared a new development update for their upcoming Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 Professional for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, outlining progress since FlightSim Weekend 2026 in Lelystad.

Just Flight mentioned that since FSWeekend, the team has been quiet on the public-facing front and that they are all hands on deck to bring both versions to the finish line. Parts of the development team are making the shift to the remaining work on the Operations and EFB manuals, support page FAQs and pre-release videos that will show off the Fokker F70/F100 feature set in detail.

On the systems side, a fresh beta build was delivered to the Just Flight testing team within the past week, signalling the beginning of the aircraft’s final testing phase. This build introduces the completely reworked AFCAS Profile logic, meaning pilots can now fly the aircraft in Profile mode from as low as 35ft after departure all the way down to approach minimums, with the system accurately respecting altitude and speed constraints while closely tracking the calculated vertical profile. Situations such as overly steep descent paths or flight plan discontinuities are also now correctly flagged through alerts on both the PFD and CDU.

Testing is currently ramping up across a wide variety of routes and operational scenarios, with the Just Flight team doing its best to push the aircraft to its limits in search of any remaining issues. At the same time, they have continued to action feedback from the latest beta cycle. While responses so far have been overwhelmingly positive, additional bug fixing and polishing are still ongoing, which is why the team is not yet ready to commit to a firm release date.

One recent area of focus has been the braking system, which has undergone a substantial refinement pass. Manual braking and autobrake performance have both been fine-tuned using figures sourced from real-world aircraft documentation, alongside data from the EFB’s Performance Calculator. These adjustments also prompted further improvements to the brake temperature simulation, resulting in a more accurate representation of heat build-up during braking. Beyond that, work on the aircraft’s systems tests has now been completed, with the team encouraging users to run through the full pre-flight testing procedures once the aircraft is in their hands.

The cockpit has also seen extensive visual improvements over recent months, following a complete ambient occlusion re-bake; the entire flight deck has received updated colour correction work. One of the more noticeable changes can be seen on the FMP knobs, which now feature a more realistic yellowed finish caused by long-term UV exposure. Additional grime and wear have been introduced across various buttons using newly sourced reference material, while selected cockpit panels now also feature subtle layers of dust to further enhance the lived-in look of the aircraft.

Artwork development has also continued at pace, with the Just Flight team’s livery artist currently focused on creating bespoke cabin textures for every F70 and F100 livery planned for release day download packages, with more details on those liveries expected soon. In total, more than 25 unique cabin variants have been produced, delivering a broad mix of both classic and modern interior layouts. Paired with the advanced galley simulation, fully interactive doors, Auto Cabin Crew functionality, and the Digital Music Player featuring both announcement and music modes, these custom cabin textures further enhance the immersion and help bring the passenger cabin environment to life.

Stay tuned to FSElite for the latest updates.
