The Just Flight team has been hard work getting two commercial aircraft ready to take to the skies in MSFS. Recently, the development team took to the Just Flight website to share development updates for the upcoming Airbus A300 and Fokker 70/100.
Airbus A300B4 Professional
Like the previous development updates for Just Flight’s Airbus A300B4 Professional, this update primarily focused on the cockpit design. In recent weeks, the team has wrapped up the animations and lighting logic for the cockpit dial, switches, and enunciator lights. In all, Just Flight’s A300 will feature nearly 2,000 separate cockpit switches, dials, and lights. With the team completing this major task, they anticipate sharing cockpit systems previews within the next year.
While the development team has purposely strayed away from exterior previews of the A300, progress is still being made on the exterior model. Since Just Flight’s initial announcement of the A300, significant work has been underway to upgrade and refine the exterior modeling of the aircraft. This includes adding details like new panels, wiring, and fluid lines. In the development update, the team confirmed that the exterior modeling is complete and texturing should be begin soon. Going into 2025, we can anticipate previews featuring the exterior modeling. Finally, while the team is committed to bringing the A300 to MSFS 2024, they are still focusing on the core MSFS 2020 development and evaluating how the MSFS 2024 performs in the coming months.
Fokker 70/100
Like the A300, much of the Fokker 70/100 development update centered around the aircraft’s cockpit. In exciting news, the team shared that the cockpit’s systems are 80% complete and they will begin beta testing in the coming weeks. To ensure the highest level of accuracy, Just Flight has employed a team of real-world F70/100 pilot and engineers to beta test the aircraft. In addition to the cockpit previews, the team shared previews of the new 8K liveries. As stated in the A300 development update, Just Flight is committed to supporting MSFS 2024, but is focused on MSFS 2020 development. Finally, Just Flight stated that the F70/100 will be released in the first half of 2025, so we can expect more previews in the coming year.
