Just Flight Releasing the BAe 146 End of April for $80

Whilst some YouTube Content Creators are already showcasing an early build of the Just Flight BAe 146 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Just Flight continue to share previews of various aspects of the quad jet in the simulator. In the latest preview video from Just Flight, we get a brief introduction to the plane. Alongside that, Just Flight dropped some major news in the comment section of the video, revealing a possible release date and confirmation of the price.

Starting with the video itself, Just Flight shows us around the aircraft’s exterior, whilst informing us of features that come with the BAe 146. Features include the animated airstairs, ground equipment and a list of the 35 liveries coming to the aircraft when it releases. There will be an EFB included to toggle certain options, but we’ll get a better look at that in the future.

We know that there will be 8 variants of the 146, which are as follow:

  • 146-100
  • 146-200
  • 146-300
  • 146-200QT (Cargo)
  • 146-300QT (Cargo)
  • 146-200QC (Combi)
  • 146 CC.Mk2 (Military)
  • 146 C.mk3 (Military)

We then step inside to see the cockpit and is confirmed that each button and switch is fully operational. The FMC and TNS have seen hundreds of improvements over previous versions. Just Flight say that they have modelled the 146 “as close as possible to the real thing.” This is a complex aircraft and so Just Flight has included a 150-page PDF that has system operations, a tutorial flight and an expanded checklist. For those who need a bit more help, there’s also an included in-sim checklist.

The video is a great introduction to the aircraft and there will be more videos to come in the future showing off what this bird can do.

In the comment section of the video, Just Flight confirmed to various commenters that the BAe 146 Professional for Microsoft Flight Simulator will launch towards the end of April 2022. In another comment, the pricing was also confirmed. Just Flight said that at launch, the BAe 146 will cost £59.99 / €74.95 / $79.99. However, those who owned the plane on either Prepar3D or X-Plane will get a 20% discount with the MSFS version. What’s interesting is that this price matches the Prepar3D version and is more expensive than the X-Plane 11 version (£54.99).

We’ll continue to monitor the situation and be sure to report back once we learn more. You can also stay updated via the Just Flight product page. For more previews, check out our past posts.

Update 11:35z – We have updated the title. This was a mistake on our part and confusion between the dollar and pound amounts. We apologise for the mistake and it’s now rectified.
