After many months of anticipation, the 146 Professional by Just Flight has finally been released for Prepar3D. The newly made aircraft product follows on from their general aviation range of aircraft and the L-1011 Tristar Professional and brings the “Whisper Jet” to Prepar3D. The BAe 146 is a four-engine aircraft that is used by airlines for short-haul and regional operations. Used by 30 airliners in the world the aircraft type can seat up to 112 passengers around 1800nm at a typical cruise speed of 404knots. Just Flight’s 146 Professional includes the 100, 200 and 300 series of the British aircraft.
Perhaps one of the most comprehensive aircraft to come from Just Flight, the 146 Professional is packed with features that would rival even the most “study-level” aircraft. Many of the systems included with the aircraft have been completely custom-coded with a high degree of complexity and depth. The air-conditioning and pressurisation system features both automatic and manual modes, with the cabin altitude and differential values based on real-world data. The auto-flight system also features a range of autopilot and flight director systems including altitude arm and holds, turbulence mode, pitch and bank selection along with integration with ADI and HSI systems.
Programming the aircraft is also easy with the built-in FMC, which is fully custom to the aircraft. Supporting Navigraph data, the aircraft has full SID and STAR support, the ability to manage both VNAV and LNAV information, and full fuel management.
Just Flight has also ensured that the aircraft features a comprehensive suite of animations, impressive 3D modelling and detailed PBR texturing. Creating an authentic cockpit was key to the immersion of the aircraft which Just Flight has spent time to produce for the product. Furthermore, there are a variety of liveries for all three varients. A full paint kit is also available from the Just Flight website.
