Popular developer Just Flight has taken to Facebook to showcase their upcoming scenery package VFR Real Scenery NexGen 3D – Vol. 4: Scotland. This project is being developed for all versions of FSX and Prepar3D.
Following on from their previous release of Vol. 3: Northern England back in July, the next instalment steps over the border into Scotland which covers all of the country and its most northern and western islands.
Included within the package includes multiple simulator support. This means the scenery can be active in all your supported simulators at the same time using a single installation. A scenery manager will be available so you can adjust the scenery options and activate/deactivate the scenery in individual simulators.
All of the aerial imagery is taken from 2015 onwards which will provide a relatively up to date rendition of Scotland. To complement this, the product features a texture resolution of 1.2m per pixel along with ultra-high 5m elevation mesh resolution. Optional custom night textures can be expected along with the correct placement of landmark objects. As with previous releases, the inclusion of comprehensive 3D autogen coverage of buildings and vegetation, accurately placed from real-world data will enhance performance. All of the water areas are simulated meaning they are landable with the appropriate aircraft.
