In a brief update on their Facebook page, Just Flight announced they are at the final testing and tweaking stages now and the release of FS Traffic for Microsoft Flight Simulator is imminent. They also showcased some performance screenshots.
Just Flight mentioned in the update that performance has been one of the biggest areas they have spent time perfecting for MSFS, with the aircraft models and modules behind the traffic generation being built from the ground up to take full advantage of the visuals in the simulator.
They also made a bold statement that they are confident that FS Traffic is going to be one of the best-performing AI traffic programs ever seen in flight simulation.
In the screenshots below they show performance figures taken at 11 AM on a Friday at London Heathrow Airport (EGLL) comparing FS Traffic against the default MSFS traffic settings.
In the screenshots provided, FS Traffic generated more than double the amount of AI as the default MSFS traffic settings whilst still achieving higher FPS compared with both Offline Traffic and Live Traffic. Just Flight has included various performance options with FS Traffic that will allow the user to tailor their performance even further depending on their preferences.
Just Flight also mentioned that these comparisons were all done using the High-End graphics preset in Microsoft Flight Simulator, at the Premium Deluxe version of London Heathrow Airport (EGLL), and with the following PC specs: Ryzen 7 3800XT, RTX 2080 Super, 32GB RAM, NVMe M2 SSDs.
There is still no exact release date, but the team say the release is imminent so make sure to stay tuned to FSElite for further updates.
