After announcing development of the aircraft a couple of weeks ago, Just Flight has officially launched the development page for their upcoming Learjet 45 Professional.
The Learjet 45, commonly referred to as the LJ45, is a mid-size business jet developed by Bombardier Aerospace. Introduced in 1998, the Learjet is beloved by the flight simulator community as it served as the default aircraft for many versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Learjet 45 was built with efficiency and comfort in mind to compete with Cessna’s Citation Excel. The aircraft has a range of approximately 2,000 nautical miles, can seat up to 9 passengers, is powered by two Honeywell TFE731-20 engines, and features an advanced glass cockpit. Because of the Learjet 45’s sleek design and comfort, it has become the ideal choice for corporate and charter flights around the world.
With the launch of the development page, Just Flight will provide updates and work-in-progress screenshots as the aircraft progresses through production. In this first update, the team shared exterior screenshots and initial modeling work for the aircraft’s cockpit. In terms of release timeline, the Learjet 45 will be released after the upcoming Airbus A300 and Fokker F70/100, and will be available for both MSFS 2020 and 2024.
The package will include both the LJ45 and the LJ45XR, which is an upgraded version of the Learjet 45 that was introduced in 2004. Unlike the default Learjets of the past, Just Flight’s rendition will feature high-fidelity systems and abundance of features and configuration options, including a passenger cabin and VIP carpet for private jet operations. It will be exciting to see these features come to fruition over the next months with the release of additional development updates.
