Just Flight has released their F28 Professional v2 update for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The update is available as a free upgrade for all existing owners on both PC and Xbox platforms.
According to Just Flight, the v2 update has been in development for over 18 months. The update introduces a custom-coded UNS-1 Flight Management System that includes holding patterns, direct-to functionality, top of descent calculations, real-time performance data, and support for SIDs, STARs and approach procedures.
The update replaces the GNS530 from the original release with a GNS430 GPS mounted on the first officer’s panel. For MSFS 2024 users, the GNS430 utilises the Working Title GNS430 V2 framework. Additionally, new altitude control options include an Altitude Preselect Controller with autopilot coupled vertical speed controls, altitude arming, altitude hold, and alerting modes. The original Altitude Alerting System has been updated to reflect its real-world functionality.
Additional features include interactive paper checklists on rotating clipboards, boarding and refuelling simulation controlled via the EFB, pilot sun visors, and a classic-style passenger oxygen regulator. The Electronic Flight Bag has been upgraded to Just Flight’s V3 standard with Navigraph enroute charts support and improved data entry logic.
The v2 update also adds five new liveries: F28 Mk.1000 Colombian Air Force, F28 Mk.1000 Desert Eagle, F28 Mk.4000 Air21, F28 Mk.4000 Argentine Air Force, and F28 Mk.4000 Biman Bangladesh.
Other changes include enhanced lighting effects, improved cockpit animations, flight model refinements, new camera views, and bug fixes.
