Just Flight has been working on their upcoming RJ Professional for Microsoft Flight Simulator for nearly 2 years, and development continues to progress on the project. In Just Flight’s latest development update post, the developers go into some depth about the sound set which has now been added to the product.
The developers describe the progress made on the project since the last update as “substantial”, and the level of detail we see in the post’s accompanying video would indicate that the highly anticipated add-on is near completion.
The 20-minute video showcases a wide variety of sounds that are included with the aircraft, starting from a cold and dark state and progressing to power up, engine start, taxi, takeoff and cruise.
Among the sounds we hear are the various flicking of switches, twists of dials, and button pushes in the flight deck. The flight controls themselves such as the throttle levers, speedbrake and flap have a distinct sound which immediately gives you a sense of the springs that hold the levers in detent positions. This is in addition to ambient sounds of cabin fans, the APU, the ground power unit (included), and even some of the cabin sounds like seatbelts and the famous two-chime. There are even sounds for the coffee maker in the galley and cabin music player.
Take a listen to some of these sounds yourself by playing the video above! When there’s more news on the upcoming release of the RJ Professional, FSElite will be here to bring it to you!
