In a post on their Facebook Page, Developer and Publisher Just Flight has announced that the team is working on expanding their Avro RJ lineup to include the QT variant. QT (or Quiet Trader) is the designation used for the freighter variant of both the BAe-146 and Avro RJ series of jets.
According to Just Flight:
“Unlike the 146, a freighter variant of the RJ never entered service—though one was proposed by the manufacturer in 2016. While that design never left the drawing board, we’re thrilled to bring it to MSFS, complete with four liveries: prototype, FedEx, DHL, and TNT. This gives you the chance to operate the RJ on cargo missions around the world.”
The freighter is part of a broader, complimentary update to the RJ Professional product lineup that the team is wrapping up work on. While no specific list of changes has been provided yet, Just Flight indicated they’ll be introducing “several exciting new features” to the RJ across both the MSFS 2020 and 2024 platforms. Additionally, this update will introduce fully native MSFS 2024 compatibility for the RJ, with the intention of a future release on the MSFS Marketplace. No specific timelines for the update or the marketplace release were provided.
