During an interview with Drawyah during the Flight Sim Show 2019, Just Flight developer Martyn Northall announced the development of the entire Airbus A300 series.
The development will start with the Airbus A300B4 aircraft, and then move on to the modernized A300-600 and the shorter A310, who both share the same glass cockpit technology. Just Flight is also considering adding the A300-600ST Beluga later on. All aircraft have been announced for both Prepar3D and X-Plane 11. The level of immersion and depth of systems is yet to be specified.
The A300 was first delivered in 1974 and ended production in 2007. It was the first twin-aisle heavy twin engine jet aircraft, and was originally designed for high density short to medium routes. It was later improved to allow for long-haul and transatlantic operations. The success of the A300 with Eastern Airline triggered the launch of the Boeing 767 in the late 1970’s.
