Very soon we’ll be able to do some air racing in Microsoft Flight Simulator thanks to Jonx Simulations and their upcoming Gee Bee R3 Special. Developed in conjunction with Got Gravel and 270 Inc, the aircraft will come with a number of features that will make it a thrilling and different type of experience in the simulator.
Described as a “real beast of an aircraft,” the Gee Bee R3 Special is a fast aircraft designed specifically for competitive air racing. The aircraft will come equipped with the GTN 750, smoke trails and the ability to use Nitrous oxide to boost your speed to get a competitive edge over those you’re flying with. Also modelled is the pneumatic speed brakes that dramatically affect the aerodynamics. This opens up for some interesting manoeuvres in the sky, but more importantly, will help you slow down when it comes to landing.
This unique aircraft has been developed with some experienced people behind it so we’re expecting something good to come from it. For now, you can watch the trailer above to get an idea on what to expect when it releases later this month.
It will release by the end of the month for $15.00 on the upcoming payware section of Flightsim.to.
