Following a two-month beta period, the developer behind JetCard has announced the official public release of the new platform. Designed to enhance immersion through detailed narratives, player achievement persistence, and integrated virtual flight support, JetCard is a full-featured, interactive ecosystem for recreating private aviation within flight sim. According to the developer, “JetCard isn’t a mission system. It’s a living world — one where clients need to get somewhere, aircraft need to be serviced, and your decisions as a pilot and operator shape the experience from gate to gate.”

Designed to simulate the operation, economics, and immersion of flying for business aviation clients across the globe, JetCard allows users to browse and accept charter scenarios from a live market, building their cash reserves and reputation based on a realistic operating cost modelling. When choosing scenarios, users can freelance as an independent pilot flying for an NPC operator or join player-owned charter companies. As cash reserves are built up, users gain the ability to purchase aircraft and start their own charter company to employ other JetCard users.

JetCard’s ecosystem is contained within its standalone software application, which runs outside of the sim. The application is fully compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane. When a user launches the application, they have access to thousands of city-pair trips with associated scenarios on a live “Charter Board”. Trips are matched to a suggested aircraft type (like turboprop, light jet, large jet, ultra-long range jets, or commercial charter aircraft, among others). Further, each trip carries a value, allowing users to earn virtual money after operating costs are paid for.

Flight logging, tracking, and operations functions are also handled within the application. A custom-coded “jPhone” interface mimics smartphone functionality, allowing users to interact with virtual company dispatchers and crew, as well as request FBO services. The jPhone can also display weather, track flights, or provide a direct link to flight dispatch paperwork from SimBrief. While the developer notes that some minor features, such as the integrated ACARS platform and specific text message functions on the jPhone, are still undergoing refinement, the core program is fully operational for the version 1.0 release that is now available.

One of JetCard’s notable features is that it uses a non-subscription model. Most features, including AI-generated flight narratives, are included in the one-time price. The only exception is the planned upgrade for “JetCard Live”, scheduled for release sometime this summer, which will offer an optional subscription to cover the costs of advanced AI voices and interactive conversations. As a solo-developed project, Sean Doyle, JetCard’s creator, emphasized that he will closely monitor bug reports and feature requests as the user base scales up.
To coincide with the product’s launch, JetCard is offering an early adopter discount for the first 500 users. During this time, you can pick up the software for a discounted price of $14.99. After the early adopter pricing sells out, the product will retail for its standard price of $19.99. You can learn more or secure your copy over at the official JetCard website.
