The IXEG 737 released originally for X-Plane 10 and was seen as one of the most impressive aircraft for the simulator. Since the release and a few updates after, the team has been somewhat quiet. However, Tom Kyler from IXEG has now confirmed that the IXEG will be ready for X-Plane 11.50 once that simulator version is stable.
On the forums, he made it clear that this is NOT a major fix of various FMS elements. Instead, they are saying that this update will reach the “minimum” of what is needed to release the aircraft for the new version of the simulator. Bringing the aircraft to version 11.50 of X-Plane has meant various visual changes and improvements including of the engine 3D animations. Now whilst this update will mostly bring compatibility with the new simulator, the team are working hard to continue adding fixes and enhancements. For example, Tom is working on the front galley and main door animations.
Furthermore, Tom said that he has begun refactoring the VNAV code, which will also add holds. FMOD sounds are also coming to the aircraft.
In a later post, published today, Tom added that they have managed to include native AviTab support to the product. If you already have the product installed, then a simple preference checkbox will need to be clicked to enable AviTab. The video below shows the implementation in action.
