Iron Sim Previews Sharjah Airport for P3D

Developer Iron Sim has shared on the FSDeveloper forums screenshots of their upcoming Sharjah Airport (OMSJ) for Prepar3D V5. The scenery is developed in partnership with MSK Productions and SimArc, authors of several Middle East Airport for FSX and P3D. The scenery is already available for X-Plane on Simmarket under the MSK brand, the current work in progress is a very partial port of the scenery to the standards of P3D V4 and V5 as well as Microsoft Flight Simulator. The scenery will feature PBR materials for the ground, custom ground clutter detailed terminal modeling and SODE jetways.

Located in the United Arab Emirates barely 10 Nm to the northeast of Dubai Airport, the Sharjah Airport serves as a secondary cargo and mostly low cost airport for the Dubai and Sharjah emirates, counting nearly 8 million inhabitants altogether. The airport served nearly 12 million passengers in 2019 on its single 4,060m runway, which was opened in 2014, the old runway becoming a taxiway.
