Orbx has today given a huge insight into their next scenery for Australia, Gold Coast Airport. The airport itself is located at the southern end of the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast is a popular tourist destination so expect many flights from the carriers, not limited to Virgin Australia, Air New Zealand and Jetstar. It was mentioned by Jarrad in the forum post that whilst the new apron at the southern end of the airfield opened just a few days before the Commonwealth Games, it’s not highly documented. However, thanks to local staff and pilots, it’s been fully modelled.
Further to the Gold Coast Airport being created, the complete package will also come with Southport Airport (YSPT), including the sloped taxiway and elevated parking lots.
Gold Coast Airport has been designed alongside the recently released CityScene Gold Coast meaning owners of that product will get the most from the airport scenery. The scenery has also been designed with highly detailed 15cm/px resolution and fully optimised for the best experience.
Release date and price to be confirmed, but we’ll keep a close eye on it.
