iniBuilds Updates its T-33 Jet Trainer

A pretty extensive update for iniBuilds’ T-33 Jet Trainer for MSFS.

iniBuilds Updates its T-33 Jet Trainer

iniBuilds last week released its T-33 Jet Trainer aircraft on Microsoft Flight Simulator and they said it has been met with plenty of positive feedback. Whilst they are super proud of the product produced, they said that they are always looking to improve the product based on feedback given. The newest update from the team focuses on a number of quality-of-life improvements, as detailed in their latest forum post.

Beginning with the visual and texture element of the T-33 Jet Trainer, the team heard the desire to see bare metal on liveries, which is now included in the base download. A number of liveries were also fixed, alongside their included decals. Speaking of liveries, a paint kit is now freely available for anyone to use to create their own.

On the inside, there have been some “tweaks and adjustments” to the cockpit textures, including better clarity and realism on various parts. This includes correcting the colour on the eleveator trim indicator, and fixes to floating cockpit decals. Some weathering effects have been added to the external model for a little more realism.

Moving onto the systems, the team made some tweaks to a few areas of the plane. This includes changing the aircraft lighting to be more realistic and updating the checklists for the aircraft. There has also been some adjustments to the TACAN panel to ensure numbers are correct.

Continuing on with the trend of changes with the plane, iniBuilds has updated the flight model and further refined it thanks to guidance from Gregory Colyer from Ace Maker Aviation. The forum post itself goes into a lot of detail, but there have been changes to the dive brake effectiveness, moments of inertia, stall mechanics, and slow speed handling. The general aerodynamic, drag and ground handling profile have also been further refined, rounding out the many changes found with this QoL update.
