Announced just last week, iniBuilds has released its latest addition to the iniScene lineup, Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers World Airport (KOKC) for MSFS.
Named after Will Rogers, the comedian, actor, and Oklahoma native, Will Rogers World Airport (KOKC) is a joint military-civil use airfield located in Oklahoma’s capital and largest city, Oklahoma City. KOKC is the busiest commercial airport in the state of Oklahoma serving nearly 4 million passengers in 2022. Airline service is provided by Alaska Airlines, Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier, Southwest, and United. The airport also boasts two general aviation FBOs as well as air cargo operations conducted by FedEx and UPS. The Oklahoma Air National Guard’s 137th Special Operations Wing also operates from the Will Rogers Air National Guard Base located on the northwest side of the airport.
iniBuilds’ rendition of Will Rogers World Airport is based on Xometry’s KOKC scenery developed for X-Plane 11 and 12. However, iniBuilds claim they have ‘significantly elevated’ the airport for MSFS by including true-to-life interior modeling of check-in and terminal areas, custom landscaping, jetways, and other unique details. In addition to the terminal detail, the scenery also includes custom buildings for the Oklahoma Air National Guard facilities as well as the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration’s Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Federal Transfer Center air hub, both located on the west side of the airport grounds.
