With all “Big 3” U.S. airlines claiming LAX as a hub and dozens of international carriers serving the airport, it’s not a surprise that LAX holds the record as the world’s busiest origin and destination airport. To keep up with rising passenger demand and prepare Los Angeles for the 2028 Summer Olympics, LAX Airport is currently undergoing a massive $30 billion expansion project.
