iniBuilds has re-released its A350 Airliner Cabin Packs as a free product for the community.
In the packs, you can see BA, Virgin, Emirates, Qatar and others get a full cabin makeover. They are meant to be designed based on real-world configurations from these airlines and use LOD techniques to ensure it is as performance-friendly as possible.
The initial response from the community was met with hesitancy surrounding the price. iniBuilds took that feedback on, removed it from sale and then released it as a free product, following further consideration.
If you did purchase the cabin packs prior to the change, a full refund has already been issued and nothing further needs to be done.
Whilst it is a free product, iniBuilds wanted to acknowledge the developers who worked hard on making the updated cabin packs. They said that “we want to acknowledge that a significant amount of work went into these packs.” These were not just texture or cosmetic changes, but included 3D modelling. Regardless, iniBuilds listened to the feedback and acted on it. As a result of this change, development on additional cabin packs and airline variations is currently paused, but if there is strong demand, then there will be further evaluations in the future.
