iniBuilds has dropped a massive 49-minute video giving a detailed technical overview of its upcoming TriStar Airliner (L-1011) aircraft coming soon to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
The video begins with a brief introduction and background on the iconic tri-jet, before moving into an extensive exterior walkaround. Key design elements are highlighted, including the RB211 engines, distinctive S-duct tail engine, wing structure, and landing gear. The passenger cabin is also shown, featuring a detailed interior complete with seating areas and lounge space.
Attention then shifts to the cockpit, where iniBuilds demonstrates the aircraft’s classic analogue layout alongside deeper system simulations. This includes the flight engineer panel, AFCS modes, INS navigation, CDU, and performance management systems, giving an insight into the complexity of operating the TriStar.
The latter half of the video focuses on live operations. Viewers are taken through engine startup procedures and audio, followed by taxi, takeoff, climb, and cruise phases. Additional highlights include cockpit and cabin lighting at night, navigation displays, and overall flight handling.
