iniBuilds has announced a new long-term partnership with Microsoft Flight Simulator to bring complex, immersive aircraft to the platform. The Airbus A310 for Microsoft Flight Simulator was first announced in October 2021 and development has been going well since then. Today’s announcement brings us closer to a release and a confirmed price: free.
The A310 for Microsoft Flight Simulator from iniBuilds will be their most detailed aircraft yet, with a detailed model and texturing that includes panel lines, dirt, detailed decals and more from the 1980’s aircraft. Along with a high-quality visual plane, iniBuilds has also included high-fidelity systems that have been completely re-written since the original version on X-Plane 11.

The A310’s systems have a realistic behaviour and act dynamically depending on how you’re handling the plane itself. The FMS has also been completely rebuilt from scratch which allows for full lateral and vertical guidance modes, realistic day-to-day operations and much more.
A new EFB has also been built and is incorporated with the plane. This will allow you to manage weight, balance and interact with ground services in the simulator.
Initially, iniBuilds will release the A310-304 powered by General Electric CF6-80 engines, passenger variant only.
As mentioned, the A310 for Microsoft Flight Simulator from iniBuilds will be released completely free of charge for all owners of the simulator or who have an Xbox Game Pass subscription. In terms of a release date, the A310 will come as part of the Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Standard Edition which is due to release in November 2022.
