iniBuilds recently took to their forum to announce that their next scenery for MSFS will be Oklahoma City Airport.
Will Rogers World Airport (KOKC/OKC), also referred to as Will Rodgers, serves as the primary airport for the capital city of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City. The airport is only 6 miles away from downtown Oklahoma City and has passenger service from all of the major U.S. airlines. During World War II, the airfield was used as a training facility for the United States Army Air Force, with passenger services commencing in the late 1950s. In 2021, the airport opened a new terminal expansion that included four new gates, a new security checkpoint, and more.
iniBuilds stated in their forum post that their scenery will be based on Xometry Design’s Oklahoma City Airport scenery developed for X-Plane 11 and 12 while elevating the airport to meet the standards of today’s MSFS sceneries. For instance, iniBuilds has modeled and animated the oil wells located on the actual airport’s property. In addition, the scenery will feature fully modeled building interiors, detailed jetways, the most current layout of the airport, up-to-date parking positions, and more.

Between the beautiful terminal art and oil wells, it is clear iniBuilds is focused on including all the little details of Oklahoma City Airport. iniBuilds is expecting to release the airport “sometime in February,” so the flight simulation community shouldn’t have to wait too long for this beautiful scenery.
FSElite will continue to monitor the development of the scenery and provide any future updates.
