Despite having just released Zakynthos Airport, the team at iniBuilds has announced another airport in development for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This time, they turn their attention back to the UK with London City Airport (EGLC).
Situated within London’s Docklands, London City Airport is well known amongst simmers for its steep approach angle, short runway, and challenging urban operating environment. The airport primarily serves business and regional traffic, with aircraft flying in and out surrounded by the dense skyline of East London and Canary Wharf.

According to iniBuilds, the scenery will feature hand-crafted ground textures with bespoke runway, apron, and landside materials, alongside a true-to-life recreation of the airport surroundings complete with custom infrastructure, roads, and nearby detail. The developer has also confirmed modelled airport lighting accurately throughout the airfield, bespoke taxi signage built to real-world specifications, and an extensive collection of handcrafted airport buildings, objects, and ground equipment.
The airport is in the final stages of development, so we’ll be sure to learn more soon. You can read more about it on their forums.
