iniBuilds has provided a new build for its A350 Airliner in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, bringing with it numerous improvements across the board. This update includes fixes to the flight management system, new HUD updates, and more. Plus, we have the news that iniBuilds will be continuing their partnership with Echo19 on the A350 in the future.
To start, the FMS and the HUD saw some overall improvements. The update addresses several FMS logic and system stability issues, including improved SEC/F-PLN handling for holds and modifications, and fixing FMS2 submenu access. VNAV improvements resolve issues with crossing speed limit pseudo-waypoints in both managed and selected modes, while LNAV now sequences correctly after a go-around. Additionally, ILS backup during non-precision approaches now functions correctly without being overridden by the FLS approach state. As for the HUD, the chevron energy behaviour is more accurate, and the field of view has been improved to give a better perspective within the simulator environment.
The update introduces major improvements to the Brake to Vacate (BTV) system, fixing issues such as failure to disengage after a go-around and incorrect FMA indications at low taxi speeds, while ensuring accurate runway exit and turnaround time calculations. Brake thermodynamics have been reworked for more realistic cooling rates, especially after heavy landings.
Additional fixes include enhanced realism across electrical, hydraulic, pressurisation, and braking systems, improved engine seizure behaviour when oil runs out, and refined VENT/AVNCS door systems affecting cabin pressurisation. Electrical updates address correct ECAM messaging for cargo doors and more reliable GPU availability. Finally, OIS en route map stability has been resolved, with successful long-haul testing, and Navigraph token issues requiring mid-flight logins have been fixed.
There have been some other bugs fixes like floating decals, various cabin updates, exterior lighting improvements, and some LOD issues resolved.
Sound Enhancement + Partnership with Echo19
This update also fixed a longstanding bug with the landing gear sound playing regardless of the gear state. It behaves much more realistically than before.
What’s more, iniBuilds is expanding its partnership with Echo19 to work on a complete overhaul of the sound suite for the A350 Airliner. This includes engine, cockpit and environmental audio. Work is underway, and updates will follow soon.
