iniBuilds has announced that Cape Town International Airport (FACT) Premium will soon be released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The upcoming scenery promises a highly detailed rendition of South Africa’s busiest airport, complete with a host of features extending well beyond the airfield itself.
Cape Town International serves as the primary gateway to South Africa’s Western Cape, with connections across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Handling millions of passengers each year, the airport is a key hub for both South African Airways and several international carriers. Its striking backdrop of Table Mountain makes it one of the most scenic destinations in the region.
The airport will feature custom ground textures, accurate terminal and apron layouts, and a range of smaller details such as decals, barriers, vegetation, and bespoke lighting. An official GSX profile will be included at launch, alongside static aircraft models to help bring the apron to life.
Away from the runways, iniBuilds has implemented a 12-metre DEM terrain mesh covering the Cape Peninsula, reshaping the iconic Table Mountain and its surroundings with added realism. To further enhance immersion, the scenery will also include animated elements such as the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway (watch it in action here), as well as local landmarks like the Table Mountain Cafe and helipad (FACM).
Whilst it’s not yet available, iniBuilds has confirmed that the airport will cost £14.99 (excluding taxes). We will let you know once it’s been released.
