iniBuilds has announced that its next airport scenery will take us to Ethiopia, with Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (HAAB) currently in development for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Sitting more than 7,600ft above sea level, Addis Ababa is the primary hub for Ethiopian Airlines and serves as a major connecting point between Africa and destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas. That should give simmers plenty of choice when it comes to both regional and long-haul flying.
For the scenery itself, iniBuilds says it has focused on recreating not only the main terminal complex, but also the wider airport environment. This includes detailed terminal interiors and exteriors, bespoke ground textures, custom taxiway signage, airport clutter, service vehicles and an up-to-date airport layout.

The landside areas are also being recreated with custom vegetation, decals and infrastructure, whilst dynamic airport lighting will feature across the scenery. An official GSX profile will also be included.
As you would expect from a new iniBuilds release, Addis Ababa is being built specifically using the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 SDK, with optimised LODs being used to help balance the level of detail with performance.
iniBuilds says development is now entering its final stages, although a release date and price have yet to be confirmed.
