The iniBuilds A350 release is scheduled to happen by the end of the month, meaning it could drop really soon. In preparation for that, various vendors and online communities are preparing for a busy week of virtual A350 pilots taking the Airbus jet to the skies.
As you eagerly await the plane, we wanted to put together a short list of tools, on-going sales, and links to online launch events so you can plan out what you will do when you get your hands on the A350 yourself.
Launch Events – VATSIM and IVAO
iniBuilds has partnered with both VATSIM and IVAO for two massive A350-centric events next week. Next week, both online networks will staff up various airports around the world giving flight simmers the chance to not only experience the plane for the first time, but take it through specific airports that offer long-haul flying, regional hops, or ferry flights.
VATSIM Event
VATSIM is hosting its event on February 28th from 12:00z. The following airports will feature online coverage.
- Singapore Changi (WSSS) – 12-16z
- Hong Kong Intl (VHHH) – 12-16z
- Doha Hamad (OTHH) – 15-19z
- Dubai Intl (OMDB) – 15-19z
- Istanbul (LTFM) – 17-20z
- Cape Town (FACT) – 17-20z
- Johannesburg (FAOR) – 17-20z
- Toulouse-Blagnac (LFBO) – 19-22z
As always, VATSIM asks that you are prepared as possible before signing on and ensure you have some familiarity with the plane before attempting to fly on the network.
IVAO Event
On March 1st from 13:00z, IVAO is hosting their own A350 event. This time, they are specifially looking for people to descend into London Heathrow. You will require a slot, which can be booked through the IVAO forums.
What is cool is that IVAO has teamed up with iniBuilds to offer some prizes to celebrate the release.
Tools for your A350 Flights
There are a range of tools to help you find cool routes for you to fly your shiny new A350.
iniBuilds Own FAQ Forum
Now is a good time to check out the FAQ forum over on the iniBuilds forum to familiarise yourself with specific procedures and how-tos on the A350. This includes how to operate the brake to vacate system, calibrate throttles, complete take off calculations, and much more. Whilst you wait for the release, now is as good a time as any to read over how to operate this complex airliner.
Contrail Map

A new map page over at Contrail highlights a number of routes you could potentially fly with your new A350 aircraft. The map focuses on products available from their store but also highlights other locations thanks to FS Addon Compare.
iFly Schedules
We have featured iFly Schedules before and since then, the product has continued to add new features and airliner schedules. There are a wide range of A350 operators now included, along with routes specifically for the aircraft type. You can plan a whole weekend of flying with the tool.
Since we last shared an update, iFly Schedules now let’s you save your generated schedule, add them to a calendar, and track your flights. There is a new membership option which gives you even more features for $4 USD per month.
As a side note, iFly Schedules is looking for an experienced front-end developer and if you’re interested, you can reach out to the team.
