Infinite Flight has released version 26.4, and whilst the new Airbus A321neo is the star of the update, there’s quite a lot more packed into this release.
The A321neo represents something of a step forward for Infinite Flight, as it is the first aircraft in the simulator to feature an interactive 3D cockpit. Rather than relying solely on the usual on-screen controls, you can now interact directly with switches and controls around the flight deck.
That also means there’s a much more involved startup process. The aircraft can be brought to life from the cockpit, with assisted checklists available to guide you through the process. Selecting supported checklist items will even take you to the appropriate panel and highlight the control you need. For those who just want to get flying, shortcuts for starting and shutting down the aircraft remain available.

Another big addition is the Airbus MCDU. The functional unit allows you to manage the flight plan, select procedures and make route changes directly from the cockpit. A 2D version is also available, whilst V-speeds can either be entered manually or brought across from SimBrief.
Both the LEAP-1A and PW1000G engine options are represented, accompanied by a completely new sound package covering the engines, APU, PTU, switches, levers and flaps. More than 30 liveries are included at launch, with operators including British Airways, easyJet, Jet2, Lufthansa, American Airlines, Air Canada, Wizz Air and plenty more.
Holding patterns can now be added to flight plans, including holds assigned by ATC, whilst controllers can issue direct-to waypoint instructions. Runway traffic warnings have also been added, giving pilots another indication of potentially conflicting traffic.
Contrails have made their debut too, appearing behind most jet aircraft when conditions are suitable. These are visible on your own aircraft as well as multiplayer traffic, adding a nice bit of extra atmosphere when flying around busier airspace.
SimBrief integration has also received some attention. A new briefing view now presents flight information including fuel and load data, takeoff performance, routing and weather in a more accessible format.
There are plenty of smaller changes throughout the update as well, including multiplayer smoothing improvements, replay fixes, push notifications, faster aircraft downloads on Android and 75 new airports.
Infinite Flight 26.4 is available now on supported iOS and Android devices. You can find the complete changelog on the Infinite Flight website.
