IndiaFoxtEcho has taken to Facebook with a development update on the upcoming Eurofighter Typhoon. The project, which is several months behind schedule, has recently made some “significant steps forward”, although a lot of work remains to be done.
The developer states they made the decision to redo the external model entirely from scratch. This has been mostly completed, and to a satisfying standard, according to the developer. Some work remains to be done though, on things such as the landing gear, control surface actuators and weapon pylons amongst a few other things. The modelling of the cockpit is finished, with a 3D model provided by True Grit who originally designed the cockpit for DCS. It will be retextured for MSFS to provide better visual fidelity.
As for the systems and avionics, IndiaFoxtEcho is planning on converting these from their Prepar3D variant of the aircraft, making improvements where necessary. The flight model is in place, and will undergo development in the next several weeks.
The developer does not have a timeframe in mind for the release of this aircraft, although work is gradually progressing. IndiaFoxtEcho is currently working on a number of military aircraft for MSFS. Next to the Eurofighter Typhoon, the developer recently also shared to be working on an F-16 Falcon together with Heatblur Simulations.
