The ultra high-tech, modern and multirole combat jet by IndiaFoxtEcho, the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, has received another update in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
In the latest set of changes, taking the aircraft to v1.3.7, the team have tweaked issues with the landing gear compression, added ‘Automatic NWS’ and ‘tinted glass’ options in PMD/DR page and fixed reversed animation of rudders during V-brakes deployment.
Amongst a host of minor updates on the aircraft, the team recently pushed a major avionics update including a major rework of navigation system, the ICAWS system including more messages, EFI/HUD integration and acknowledgment option, and reworked fuel system and tankage on all variants among many others.
Furthermore, the aircraft’s sound package by ECHO19 has received attention and seen improvements, fixing issues such as sound reverb and an adjustment to a number of wind related sounds at high speed.
Improved areas of the aircraft also include cockpit textures, flight control systems and autopilot functions.
The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II has three main variants, including the conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) F-35A, the short take-off and vertical-landing (STOVL) F-35B, and the carrier-based (CV/CATOBAR) F-35C.
