InfiaFoxtEcho has shared their development roadmap over on Facebook for the coming year and a little beyond. The roadmap goes in to a number of projects for both MSFS and DCS. It contains updates on several current releases as well as some new announcements.
F-35 Lighting II
The recently released F-35 for MSFS is in the process of getting a few bug fixes as well as improvements. The team is looking into creating a proper FCS implementation, which would entail a remake of the flight model. The team is also happy to share that a Marketplace/Xbox release is undergoing testing and has passed the first checks.
Sukhoi SU-31
Though taking longer than initially expected, this plane is finally on short final with a release scheduled in March. However, the team is not quite happy with the flight model and any kind of serious training should not be expected. The team will try to polish the plane more, something the team will share more information on soon.
Aermacchi M-346
The recently announced Aermacchi is currently in the modelling phase as the plane is undergoing a lot of remodelling from its Prepar3D version. Work on this plane is still in progress in all aspects; animations, details, flight model and avionics. However, the team is quite happy with the progress that’s been made so far. With that in mind, a release should still not be expected before April.
Eurofighter Typhoon
As guessed by many already, IndiaFoxtEcho has confirmed they are working on an Eurofighter Typhoon for MSFS. The team previously released this plane for Prepar3D, but this plane will be completely rebuilt from the ground up.
F-14D Super Tomcat
This is one of IndiaFoxtEcho’s experimental projects, and can be seen as a testbed for MSFS. The project has an extremely high detail mesh (1.3 million polygons) and high resolution textures which does not yield great performance results on most systems. It will stay as an experimental project for now, although many customers seem to have indicated to be quite interested in an F-14D developed by the team.
Other Projects
The team has a few more projects under development for MSFS for which there are no set release dates. The status of most of these planes can be regarded as very early in development or research, or otherwise blocked or (very) slowly progressing: Aermacchi MB-326, Aermacchi M-345, TA-4/A-4 Skyhawk, Revolution Mini-500, E-2C Hawkeye and a C-27J Spartan.
DCS
The team also made a statement on DCS, although it came with a disclaimer. IndiaFoxtEcho will not share any projects that have not been agreed together with Eagle Dynamics. With that said, the team gave a very brief status on two of their ongoing DCS projects. The MB-339 is undergoing its final tests, although the team is still working on completing some missing futures of the plane. The Fiat G-91 is in the 3D modelling and texturing stage, and the results are looking good so far.
