Impulse Simulations has released its rendition of Port Lincoln Airport (YPLC) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
Located on the stunning Eyre Peninsula, Port Lincoln Airport is a key hub for regional air travel and the gateway to South Australia’s beautiful coastline. This highly detailed scenery has been handcrafted to deliver an authentic experience for both PC and Xbox users, optimised for smooth performance while maintaining an unparalleled level of realism.
“Our goal with YPLC was to create a true-to-life regional airport and continue to improve our skills and release a product that has levelled up from our last yet again. Each product we look to improve and continue to better our skills,” said Josh Liddell, Impulse Simulations’ Director.
The scenery includes an accurate terminal model with interior, enhanced terrain and vegetation, and realistic ground and apron textures. Over 200 custom models, high-quality PBR textures, and 1,000+ hand-placed objects are used to create a detailed and authentic environment. Features such as realistic night lighting, custom animations, and accurate ground markings (as of December 2024) add further immersion, while 15 cm custom orthoimagery and improved coastal blending enhance the surrounding area. The package also includes a GSX profile, a proximity-triggered Lincoln Air Charters hangar, and is optimised for performance on both PC and Xbox.
