In a surprise announcement, Imaginesim has let the community know on their Facebook page that they will be releasing Grantley Adams International Airport, ICAO code TBPB, for Prepar3D v4.
The airport is the sole international port of entry by air in Barbados, and serves destinations across the United States (Charlotte, Miami, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Newark, JFK), Canada (Toronto, Montreal), Europe (Gatwick, Heathrow, Manchester, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Munich) and Central America generously, being a hub for LIAT. Additionally, the airport has a relatively new cargo building and is served by multiple cargo carriers.
They are hoping to release the product in time for Christmas. The project was originally an aerospace contract, normally one that Imaginesim would produce exclusively for an external client; however, they secured permission on this occasion to reconfigure the airport and release it to the simulator community for Prepar3D v4. They’ll also be having a discussion with the client in January in regards to X-Plane or MSFS versions.
Only one small screenshot was shown; hopefully we might see some more teasers in the upcoming weeks.
They also gave a heads-up that development progress on their main KDFW (Dallas Ft-Worth) project remains unaffected.
We’ll be certain to provide you any further details that come.
