Developer ImagineSim has taken to Facebook to inform the community that they are currently working a brand new update for their Atlanta scenery. The airport has seen an extensive $6 billion renovation to many parts of the airport, which has meant the current version of the airport from ImagineSim is out of date.
To this end, the team will be making a number of changes to the airport product including the addition of the canopies above the North and South terminal passenger drop-0ff zones, changes to the taxi system and also Concourse E. In addition, the team will also use the SWS animations module found at Singapore (WSSS) as well as other unconfirmed features. To ensure that it runs as smoothly as possible within the simulator, the airport will be compiled using the latest SDK. It should be noted that the new update will only be for Prepar3D V4.
The update will be made available for all KATL Atlanta Airport 2016 users free of charge. No news on when the update will be available, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated. If, in the meantime, you would like to see more details about the airport, you can check out the product page on ImagineSim’s website.
It’s also worth noting that FlyTampa announced Atlanta back in 2017, but there has been no updates since.
