Scenery developer Imaginesim has said that they will soon be releasing Atlanta Airport (KATL) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The busy international airport serves as a hub for Delta Airlines, with Southwest and Frontier using it as a focus airport. With 5 main runways and over 110 million passengers per year visiting the airport, it has continuously been the world’s busiest airport for over 20 years.
Imaginesim brought the airport to Prepar3D and X-Plane 11 and will soon release the airport product for Microsoft Flight Simulator. According to their latest Facebook post, the airport is “complete” and is going through the release process awaiting on Microsoft to upload it to the in-sim Marketplace. At first, the airport will only be available through the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace and then on the Imaginesim website afterwards. The team are awaiting on their copy protection system to be finished before releasing it outside of the Microsoft ecosystem.
Alongside the news of the impending release of Atlanta, Imaginesim also confirmed the order in which they’ll be bringing their airports over to the new platform. Following on from the release of Atlanta, they will release Singapore Airport (WSSS), Grantly Adams International Airport in Barbados (TBPB), Austin Airport (KAUS), LaGuardia (KLGA), and finally Shanghai Airport (ZSPD).
All we can do now is wait and once it is available, we’ll be sure to report the release to you. For now, enjoy the all-new screenshots shared by Imaginesim.
