iFly Previews the Boeing 737MAX in Prepar3D

iFly released a series of 737NG products for Prepar3D a few months back and at the same time confirmed that they are working on a 737MAX for Prepar3D. Over on their forums, there are numerous new previews of the aircraft demonstrating the work that is going into bringing the narrow-body to the simulator.

The images come from over the past few weeks over on the iFly forums, but there are plenty of details to unpack from them. The first set focuses on the external model of the plane. Here, we can see the iconic engine nacelle and its serrated edges.

The majority of the screenshots are made up of the 737MAX’s cockpit. Here we can see the changes between the NG series and the MAX series, with the displays being the most obvious. There are also the changes to the FMC, the placement of numerous controls (e.g. the autobrake) and more.

The cabin is also getting some attention, too, with the team currently working on economy class and business class seats. They’re basic renders at this stage, but the detail will come in due course.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on development for the iFly 737MAX series. For now, enjoy the previews above. You can also learn more about iFly’s 737NG series here.
