Anticipation is building for the iFly 737 Max8 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, as Flight One Software release a preview video demonstrating the cabin lighting in the aircraft.
The two-minute video demonstrates the usage of the flight attendant panel, or FAP, and how it is able to control a variety of lighting settings in the passenger cabin and crew galleys. The FAP is a tool used on the real aircraft by crew members to change lighting settings and to check various systems such as waste and water levels.
In the teaser video, we see a range of mood lighting changing throughout the cabin, with the user able to select from the FAP the desired light settings as they would do in real life. The Max aircraft, and even the newer NG versions of the 737, are fitted with newer cabins that commonly feature atmospheric ambient lighting, allowing airlines and in this case the sim pilot, to choose from a variety of lighting settings.
We can see from the video how changes in settings can be made gradually, fading into one another to give an atmospheric and pleasing look to it, with a range of colours to choose from.
This latest video adds to the anticipation of the aircraft’s release, with further previews having been released on their Facebook a short while ago.
