Anticipation continues to build for the upcoming iFly Boeing 737 Max8 for Microsoft Flight Simulator as Flight1 have started to preview liveries on the twin-jet bird.
On their Discord channel, the team have released a number of external previews of real-world airline liveries, and have also teased a couple more cockpit shots. Furthermore, the team have confirmed that the aircraft will not be released for Xbox initially, explaining ‘because of the advanced systems, and due to the limitations of running Windows applications on Xbox, at this point we can only release the product for the PC editions of MSFS.’
Among the airlines featured in the previews are Air Canada, LOT Polish Airlines, Southwest Airlines and TUI UK. At this point, only the Max8 is in development, but the team say the high-density variant, the 8200, is ‘planned to be added via a Service Pack Update’.
And finally, the question many simmers are asking, is the potential release date for the Boeing bird. Unfortunately, nothing is set in stone as of yet, with the team writing ‘we do not have a set release date. The team is working hard and we will post more information as the release date gets closer.’
