iFly 737 MAX 8 Version 1.0.0 Released for MSFS

iFly’s 737 MAX 8 is officially out of early access.

iFly 737 MAX 8 Version 1.0.0 Released for MSFS

After releasing the early access version of the product early last month, iFly has finally released the complete version of their 737 MAX 8 add-on for MSFS with the release of version 1.0.0.

With the release of version 1.0.0, iFly has added over 130 new features and fixes to the aircraft. While the aircraft still performed well in early access, flight simmers can now fly the aircraft with all the systems more accurately representing a real 737 MAX 8. Some of the major improvements that are baked into version 1.0.0 include an adjusted engine spool rate, improved nose wheel steering when using rudder pedals, improved LNAV and VNAV, countless cockpit lighting and texture improvements, and much more.

It is important to note, users must follow specific instructions to download version 1.0.0 since it requires a full product replacement. To properly install version 1.0.0, users must ensure both MSFS and the iFly Plugin are not running, manually delete all the files from the “Open Data Folder” selection located in the “Manage Product” page, and then press uninstall. After all those steps are completed, the iFly 737 MAX 8 should be removed from your “Community” folder in MSFS. An update has also been released for the iFly Manager, so it’s recommended to install the new version before installing version 1.0.0.

Overall, it is exciting for the flight simulator community that the iFly 737 MAX 8 has finally graduated from early access. As the release of MSFS 2024 approaches, iFly stated they will begin compatibility research once the sim is released, so no official timeline for when the 737 MAX will be ready for takeoff in MSFS 2024.

For those of you who have not purchased iFly’s 737 MAX 8, you can now do so on the Flight1 website via the Flight1 Agent for $69.95. For the full version 1.0.0 changelog, visit the Flight1 Discord.
