Back in April, iBlueYonder shared a single preview for an upcoming small update for their KPDX Portland HD. Being enthusiastic simmers in which I am, a small line was added to the original article saying that we were “[…] confident that there will be other updates included within version 1.4 […].” The reason we said that was simply because, in the original post from iBlueYonder, the team said “[…] additions to KPDX” suggesting there was going to be more than just a FBO added. Regardless, our little mishap motivated Bill to add some nice new features to the scenery for free to customers.
In his post on Facebook, Bill from iBlueYonder wanted to give a bit of an update as to what happens behind the scenes and what is currently being worked on for this new update. In addition to the new FBO, Bill has said that since then, he has worked on adding additional details in the cargo areas, some new animated vehicles around the airport and also included some PBR texturing.
In addition, Bill wanted to continue flexing his new skills in animations by creating the Tri-Met Max train that goes to the airport terminal. Right now, he’s having some issues exporting it, but once that is done, he will release the new update.
KPDX Portland HD was developed by iBlueYonder in conjunction with Flightbeam. You can buy the airport from both iBlueYonder or Flightbeam for $29.99.
Apologies to Bill for making him spend countless hours making the update even better and bigger. We know how passionate you are about the community and your projects, so thanks for taking our confusion and making something even better for the community!
