I.D.S, the scenery developers that have brought us sceneries including Manchester and Nassau have just released their latest scenery, Newcastle. It is the 11th busiest airport in the UK with flights from airports including London Heathrow, Amsterdam and Dubai. It served some 4.6 million passengers in 2016.
I.D.S have made sure to create another high quality scenery, leaving no detail to spare. The scenery uses custom ground poly, SODE jetways, terminal interiors and 20cm/pixel photoscenery. The entire feature list can be found below. With all these details, hopefully the airport will be sufficiently optimized unlike Manchester which often proved hard on performance.
This scenery works in FSX, FSX SE and P3D v3. You will notice this list does not include P3D v4, which I find disappointing seeing as this airport is a new release coming months after the release of v4. They have claimed that the scenery will be coming to v4 in the coming weeks and cannot confirm whether or not there will be an upgrade price. I.D.S are one of the few Aerosoft partnered developers that are yet to bring their sceneries into this new simulator platform.
If you like the look of this scenery, it can be purchased from Aerosoft’s website for a price of €16.77.
