X-Plane developer HighSkyTech has shared a fresh batch of new previews for the upcoming update of xAmbience. The new previews focuses on adding dynamic snow to form on the outside of the aircraft, covering parts of the fuselage, wings and engines.
When asked if this technology could be applied to the ground in X-Plane 11, the developer said they “…will try to talk with [an] engineer, and if it works out we will make a complete snow cover of the earth in the same way…”. Whether that will come to fruition is yet to be seen, but we will update you nonetheless.
As a reminder, here is the feature list for the upcoming 1.1 update.
- New 10 cloud presets with new high definition rendering technology based on real photos
