Our good friends at HeliSimmer are dedicated to all things Helicopter. No surprise there. However, we also know that the guys are very passionate about making tools and other applications to enhance the simmer’s experience. Over the past few days, the team have released a couple of tools that will improve user’s experience in X-Plane. These are Terrain Append Tool and the X-Splasher 2.0 tool.
TerrainAppend Tool
The TerrainAppend tool for X-Plane allows users to simulate grass and gravel on your Ortho4XP textures. The reason for this is to allow you to better judge your aircraft to ground distance, which in the current state is pretty challenging due to the textures used. However, with this tool, you’ll be able to adjust the textures accordingly.

X-Splasher 2.0
Simply put, X-Splasher allows you to have your images randomly appear as the splash screen for X-Plane 11. It’s a very simple to use tool – select the image folder path, show the tool where X-Plane 11 is installed and that’s it.
