Heatblur Simulations has confirmed that its highly anticipated F-4E Phantom II for Microsoft Flight Simulator has entered final testing and pre-release development.
According to the developer, current work is focused on polishing remaining elements, including input compatibility across both modern and legacy systems, as well as refining EFB pages and integrations such as Navigraph. The team expects to complete these final tasks during April, before moving into the release process, provided no major issues are identified during testing.

The aircraft is being built using Heatblur’s Anvil component-based simulation framework, aiming to deliver a highly detailed and authentic Phantom experience. One feature the development team wanted to highlight is the fully custom external flight model, designed to accurately replicate the aircraft’s flight envelope and handling characteristics.
Heatblur has confirmed that development is now nearing completion, with a release trailer expected as the project approaches launch. We will be sure to keep you posted on any further development updates.
