Heatblur, Jet Fighter Experience, and Fly and Fight officially announced the Rafale C is coming to DCS!
The module is a close collaboration between the three developers while being officially licensed by its real-world manufacturer, Dassault Systems. Jet Fighter Experience contributes additional engineering, research, and modeling to the project while acting as the liaison between the developers and Dassault.
Fly and Fight complements the project by providing direct operational insight through experienced Rafale pilots including a former Rafale Solo Display pilot and instructor with over 2,000 hours in the type, and a squadron pilot with over 1,000 hours who participated in nearly all major Rafale operational deployments.
Heatblur acts as the primary developer and integrates all of this work into a single, coherent module through the company’s technology, tools, and long-standing expertise as one of the premier developers of high-fidelity addons for DCS today.
The core of the Rafale is based on Heatblur’s ANVIL technology, which is a component-based simulation framework that allows the developer to model the Rafale as a complex assembly of interlinked components capable of influencing one another. This approach lets the developer push the boundaries of modern jet simulation in DCS even further.

More details on Heatblur’s Rafale C
The Rafale C is the single-seat variant of the Rafale family and flagship of the French Air and Space Force. It’s a true omnirole fighter designed from the ground up to give the pilot freedom of action. It was built to fight for air superiority, deliver precision strikes, gather intelligence, and project power all within the same sortie, while remaining survivable and effective in dense, contested environments.
Heatblur’s philosophy is to capture the experience of the Rafale- the flow, the workload, the sensation, and the confidence that the real aircraft provides to its pilots. The Rafale is all about managing complexity without being overwhelmed by it, making rapid decisions under pressure, and trusting the aircraft to protect you in hostile airspace.
In DCS, the aircraft will be brought to life with its core air-to-air and air-to-ground functions, including both short and medium range air combat missiles, long-range beyond-visual-range weapons, precision-guided munitions, and a wide spectrum of strike options. Central to this is the Meteor beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile, a weapon that fundamentally shapes how the Rafale fights at a distance. Meteor is already under development by Heatblur for DCS, and its integration into the Rafale C is a key part of the project.
DCS: Rafale C is in early development as of now and is being developed in parallel to existing Heatblur projects by a dedicated team. No release date was provided as of the publishing of this article.
